Easy English Toffee Cookies

These Easy English Toffee Cookies have a buttery and nutty flavor that is complemented by a layer of rich chocolate. They are simple to make and ideal for sharing with family and friends.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up

Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy

Add the vanilla extract and mix well

Slowly add the all-purpose flour and mix it in until its well blended

As you mix, add the chopped almonds

Make little balls out of the cookie dough and place them on a baking sheet, leaving space between each one

You can use a fork or your fingers to slightly flatten each cookie

After the oven is hot, bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown

After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet

Then, move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down

Melt the semisweet chocolate chips in a bowl that can go in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring every 30 seconds, until the chocolate is smooth and melted

Place half of each cookie on the wire rack to cool, then dip it in half into the melted chocolate

Let the chocolate set

The Easy English Toffee Cookies are ready to eat once the chocolate has set
