Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/4 cups whole milk
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- Whipped cream optional
- Fresh berries optional
- Powdered sugar optional
Instructions:
Whisk the cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and flour together in a bowl
Put the eggs in a different bowl and beat them
Then add the milk, water, melted butter, and vanilla extract
Combine well
Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry ones while whisking them together
Do this until you have a smooth batter
Put a nonstick skillet or crepe pan over medium-high heat and use cooking spray or butter to lightly coat it
To make the bottom of the pan even, pour a small amount of the batter into it and swirl it around to cover it
The crepe is done when the edges start to lift and the center is set
Change the crepe over and cook the other side for an extra minute or two
Take the crepe out of the pan when its done and do it again with the rest of the batter
There should be eight to ten crepes
Put dark chocolate chips on top of each crepe while they are still warm
Let the chips melt a little
To make triangles, fold the crepes in half and then in half again
If you want, you can top your dark chocolate crepes with whipped cream, fresh berries, and powdered sugar
Have fun with your tasty dark chocolate crepes
