Sweet & Spicy 2-Meat Chili

A hearty and flavorful chili with a perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness, featuring ground beef and pork, ideal for football parties or gatherings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 14
  • 5 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 can 6 oz tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat

Add chopped onion and bell pepper, saut until softened

Add ground beef and pork, cook until browned

Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper

Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, brown sugar, kidney beans, and black beans

Stir well to combine

Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally

Adjust seasoning to taste

Serve hot, optionally topped with shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped cilantro
