Ingredients:
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pretzels
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- Sea salt flakes, for sprinkling
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butter together in 20-second increments, stirring until smooth
In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined
Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and stir until smooth and fully combined
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt
Stir until just combined
Fold in the chopped pretzels and walnuts into the batter
Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them a couple of inches apart
Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt flakes on top of each cookie
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still slightly soft
Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
Enjoy these delicious sweet and salty brownie cookies
