Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional
- 4 whole wheat burger buns
- Toppings of your choice lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, etc
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped spinach, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped cilantro, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired
Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated
Divide the turkey mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties
Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat
Place the turkey burgers on the grill and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and have grill marks
Make sure the internal temperature reaches 165F 74C
While the burgers are cooking, you can toast the whole wheat burger buns on the grill for a minute or two until they are slightly browned
Assemble your burgers by placing the cooked turkey patty on the bun and adding your favorite toppings
Serve the Spinach and Herb Turkey Burgers hot, and enjoy
