With their bright and tangy lemon flavors, these lemon brownies are a fun take on regular brownies. Theyre simple to make and great for people who love lemons

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting optional

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C

Grease and flour an 8x8-inch baking pan

In a mixing bowl, beat together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition

Stir in the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

Allow the lemon brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack

Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar if desired, then cut into squares and serve
