Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar, for dusting optional
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C
Grease and flour an 8x8-inch baking pan
In a mixing bowl, beat together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition
Stir in the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined
